Internal Bookkeeper
Position Purpose
Your role is crucial in maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records for our organization. By ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices, you will support informed decision-making, compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the smooth functioning of our business operations.
Position Summary
You will be responsible for accurately maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. Your expertise in managing accounts payable and receivable and processing invoices will be critical in maintaining the financial health of our organization.
Position Duties and Responsibilities
A description of the duties and responsibilities assigned to the position:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process in Indevaldi’s accounting software.
- Bring the books to the trail balance stage and ensure the trail balance accuracy.
- Coordinate fund transfers between group entities.
- Asist in supplier payments.
- Filing of electronic or hardcopy documents.
- Manage VAT reconciliation and submission process.
- Create audit packs/ financial statement packs.
- Various other ad hoc duties as required.
- Detailed tasks for the duties and responsibilities will be made available during the contractor process.

- Level 2/3 (depend on experience).
Type:
- Fixed Contract for 2 hours per day.
Membership and Accreditations:
- None.
Qualifications:
- Matric with mid to high grades in mathematics and accounting.
- Completed Certificate or Completed Diploma or Diploma with outstanding practical experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
Experience:
- At least two to four year bookkeeping experience in an accounting practice/SME environment.
Software:
- Office product suite.
- Accounting Software – Xero.
- Document Management Software – Dext.
- Practice Management Software.
- SARS systems.
- Payroll software – Payspace.
